What changed in the 2025 US citizenship test?
The 2025 test expanded the question bank from 100 to 128 questions and raised the interview limit and passing score for applicants who filed on or after the cutoff. The filing date determines which rules apply.
Why do both versions matter?
People who filed before the cutoff may still have interviews after it. They use the 2008 list. People filing on or after the cutoff use the 2025 list. Start with the filing-date tool if you are uncertain.
How should I study?
Begin with the complete 2008 question list or 2025 question list. Speak the answers rather than choosing from a list. Then try a mock test with the correct stopping rules.
